Our Co-op (kindergarten class and siblings) took a field trip to Phinizy Swamp today. The children had a wonderful time learning about the swamp habitat and the animals that live there. We even came up on a snake. (The children could not have been more excited and the moms could not have been more scared!) What other way can you take your whole family on a field trip and learn together! I'm very thankful for where the Lord has us!
They had a scavenger hunt as walked through the swamp.
then we went back to the pavilion and learned some about the things you find in a swamp.
One of Addie Lane's home school projects for today was to make butter. She had a great time shaking the cream and it was fun to watch her get so excited when it actually "became butter".
